ACCESS Community Workshop 2023

The Australian Earth System Simulator (ACCESS-NRI) would like to invite you to the ACCESS Community Annual Workshop 2023. 

This annual event brings together the community of users, developers and collaborators of the ACCESS Earth system models. This event will be held in Canberra, ACT on Ngunnawal and Ngambri country and online from 5-6 of September 2023. In-person attendees are also invited to a Workshop dinner on Tuesday 5 September.

This is one of several events occurring during the week (see the related events below). We encourage you to also register for these other events and stay for the whole week.

WORKSHOP AIMS

  • Bring together people across the ACCESS community to present and discuss current and emerging topics (both technical and scientific)
  • Provide updates on ACCESS-NRI activities and plan
  • Support the community Working Groups and foster new and existing community-wide collaborations
  • Provide a forum for community feedback on ACCESS-NRI activities and priorities
  • Deliver training on ACCESS-related software, data, and tools

 


WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This event is open to anyone who works with, or is interested in the Australian Community Climate and Earth System Simulator (ACCESS). Everyone is welcome, including ACCESS developers, users of ACCESS model output, people considering using ACCESS in the future and those at all career stages.

 


WHERE

Online sessions will take place through Zoom.

In person sessions will take place at: J.G. Crawford Building (Building 132), Lennox Crossing, ANU, Canberra

Online attendance options will be provided, but we can’t guarantee a full hybrid engagement participation in breakout rooms, so for a better experience we encourage you to participate in person. All plenary sessions will be recorded and made available to all participants after the workshop.

PRESENTATIONS

We welcome submissions that focus on scientific and technical areas related to ACCESS use, model development and model and data integration.

Posters: Only a title is required on the registration form, and all posters are automatically accepted. However, we have a limited number of poster boards and we have almost reached our capacity, so they will be allocated on a first came basis until filled.

Oral presentations submissions have closed.
