ACCESS-NRI Board

About the Board

ACCESS-NRI operates under the operational framework of its host institution, The Australian National University (ANU), on the advice of the ACCESS-NRI Board and the Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC).

Approach

Our approach to governance is grounded in a commitment to integrity, accountability, and transparency. We recognise that effective governance is essential to achieving our purpose and maintaining the trust of the ACCESS climate community.

Composition

The ACCESS-NRI Board comprises an independent chair and several independent members, the ACCESS-NRI director, and a representative from each of the ACCESS-NRI partner organisations. These partner organisations include: The Australian National University, Bureau of Meteorology, CSIRO, Monash University, University of Melbourne, UNSW, University of Tasmania, and the Australian Antarctic Division. Independent observers include the Department of Education (DoE)/NCRIS, and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEW).

Meetings and agenda

The Board meets quarterly in March, June, September and December. Agenda items can be emailed to the Director, Business Manager or Board Chair via access.nri@anu.edu.au. The agenda is distributed to the Board, along with Board papers, 1–2 weeks before the meeting.
