Acknowledging Us

Users of ACCESS-NRI models, data, tools of expert support are required to clearly include an acknowledgement in all publications/reports/public releases such as the following:

“This research used the ACCESS-NRI’s model X (e.g ACCESS-ESM1.5) infrastructure, which is enabled by the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS)”

or 

“X acknowledges the Australian Community Climate and Earth System Simulator National Research Infrastructure (ACCESS-NRI), funded by the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy, for their maintenance of virtual environments, code and model support”.

 

ACCESS community members who make use of computational or data resources through the ACCESS-NRI Merit Allocation scheme, are required to acknowledge ACCESS-NRI and NCI in their outputs. The following are examples of acknowledgement templates:

This research was supported by the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS), with access to computational resources provided through the ACCESS-NRI Merit Allocation Scheme and the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI).”

This statements needs to be included in the publications/report acknowledgement section. Correct acknowledgement allows us to demonstrate our impact, find how our infrastructure is being used and increase recognition of value of Australia’s climate, weather and earth system simulator.
