Dr Qianhui Chen

Dr Qianhui Chen is a Research Software Engineer in the Model Release team at ACCESS-NRI.

Qianhui previously worked as a science communicator, a telescope software engineer, and later as a data scientist in Earth observation. She is proficient in Python and brings a strong combination of research and communication skills. Her experience in both observational and simulation-based research has developed a strong attention to detail.

Qianhui completed a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics in 2025 at the Australian National University. Her thesis title is “Constraining the Evolution of Spiral Galaxies over Cosmic Time with Observations and Simulations”.

Outside of work, Qianhui likes bouldering with her friends, visiting dessert stores and playing board games. She also spends time grooming her bunnies and turning their fur into threads.
