Dr Jordan Hill
Research Fellow in Earth System Modelling, Monash University
Dr Jordan Hill is a Research Fellow in the Ice Sheet Modelling team at ACCESS-NRI, based at Monash University.
Jordan completed a PhD in computational physics, on developing numerical models to study cryogenic freezing in biological systems, before moving into climate science. Now at Monash University, he models ice sheet dynamics and their interactions with the atmosphere and sea level to improve Australia’s climate projections.
Jordan’s main responsibilities are coupling the ISSM Antarctic ice sheet model to Australia’s new ACCESS-AM3 atmospheric model.
Qualifications: PhD Computational Physics (RMIT, 2024)
Awards: Trans-Antarctic Association Grant (2026)
