Jo Basevi

Jo is a Research Software Engineer working in the Model Release Team at ACCESS-NRI. Recent projects have been in python programming and contributing to open source tools used for running different climate models and archiving data. Previously, Jo’s has worked on backend, cloud-based microservice applications and real-time, high volume data pipelines. Jo enjoys software engineering as she is constantly learning, and she looks forward to learning more about climate modelling and high-performance computing.

Jo holds a BSc in Mathematics and minor in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury, 2020.

When not working, Jo enjoys exploring the outdoors with her dog, going to shows and playing board games with her friends.
