Spencer Wong

Spencer is a research software engineer in the Atmospheric Modelling Infrastructure team, working on tools related to the atmospheric component of the ACCESS climate models.

Spencer’s favourite aspects of his work is playing a role in the broader Australian climate research community, in particular by working on tools which help researchers investigate questions about the climate.

Spencer completed an MSc in pure mathematics at the University of Melbourne in 2022. He has experience working on custom configurations of the atmospheric component of ACCESS, for use in studying specific science questions.

Outside of work, he enjoys learning new recipes, making animations, and being outdoors.
