Outreach and Engagement Manager
Natalia is the Outreach and Engagement Manger. She is responsible for communicating and engaging with the ACCESS-NRI audiences including the ACCESS community, end-users, government, and the public. Natalia’s favourite aspect of her work is translating the very complex concepts from Earth system modelling to show the huge impact they can have for Australia’s research as well as creating innovative ways to communicate this to different audiences.
Natalia is a biologist from the National University of Colombia and obtained a Masters by Research in History and Philosophy of Science in 2003 from the University of Sydney. Then she run out with the Shell Questacon Circus for a year, completing a Graduate Diploma in Science communication in 2006. Since 2008 she has been working in science communication, initially at CSIRO and then at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Translational Photosyntheis.
Outside work, Natalia enjoys traveling, reading and watching films.
