Dr. Minghang Li

Minghang is a Research Software Engineer in the Ocean Modelling Team and has a background in computational fluid dynamics and computational modelling. The role allows him to bridge the gap between research and software engineering, enabling the application of computational insights to enhance our understanding of oceanic processes and contribute to advancements in the field.

Minghang completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Melbourne in 2022, entitled “Discrete Tone Identification and Heat Transfer of Under-expanded Impinging Jets”. His favourite aspect of work lies in the continuous opportunity for creative problem-solving, and the challenge of developing and applying computational models to understand complex systems.

Outside of work, Minghang loves playing basketball, reading, and exploring various outdoor activities.
