Aidan Heerdegen (he/him)

Aidan is the Leader of the ACCESS-NRI Model Release Management Team, which provides expert advice to researchers on how to use ACCESS and its individual model components as well as  maintaining some of these models for the Australian research community.

Aidan’s favorite aspect of his work is contributing to excellent, impactful and meaningful research, particularly by helping researchers improve their productivity through new and improved tools.

He obtained a PhD from the Research School of Chemistry at ANU in 2000 entitled “Diffuse X-ray scattering from an optically anomalous material – 1,5-dichloro-2,3-dinitrobenzene”.

Outside work, Aidan enjoys gardening, cooking, biking, hiking and camping, as well as sharing in these activities with his family and friends.
